What Happens After Access Is Approved

What Happens After Access Is Approved

When a request is approved in OrangeAccess, it doesn’t always mean access is granted immediately. The timing depends on the system and the type of access requested.

How Access Is Provisioned

  • Automatic provisioning – For many systems, access is granted automatically once all approvals are complete. This can happen within minutes to a few hours.

  • Batch updates – Some systems update on a schedule (for example, overnight jobs). In these cases, access may not appear until the next day.

  • Manual fulfillment – In certain cases, access changes require an administrator to complete the update manually. This may take additional time.

What to Expect by System

  • MySlice (including Campus Solutions, HR/Payroll, and Financials) – Access is typically available within a few minutes.

    • ⚠️ Note: These systems are sensitive to browser cache. If you do not see your new access, try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then log back in.

  • DMC – Access is typically available within a few minutes.

  • Other applications – Timing may vary; details will be added as more systems are onboarded to OrangeAccess.

Notifications

  • You will receive an email when your request is approved.

  • A separate notification is not always sent when the access is fully active. If you do not see the new access after the expected timeframe, check with your manager or submit a oahelp ticket.

Tip:

  • If your access doesn’t appear after one business day, check the Pending Requests tile for status updates, or open a ticket in the OT queue OAHELP

  • For PeopleSoft systems (MySlice, Campus Solutions, HR/Payroll, Financials), clear your browser cache and cookies if your new access does not show up after approval.
