    OrangeNow How-To

    This How-To page has been developed for users interested in finding answers to commonly asked questions about the Syracuse University OrangeNow mobile app. Please note that additional questions may be added at any time. 

     

    Click on a question:

    The app is designed for Apple and Android phones and tablets. Links to the stores can be found here: OrangeNow

    If you need to select a different persona, choose the avatar icon at the top right corner of the app. Then click on the My Persona bar to switch to a different persona.

    Current Students can view Blackboard Due Dates, Announcements, and other Blackboard items right through the app. From the Current Students experience, on the main page, open the Due Dates or the Blackboard Announcements section and you see the Blackboard items. If you are not logged into Blackboard, the app will display a Connect button. Select the button and use your netID and password.

    Select the User icon at the top of the screen and select Signed in to Services

    Next, select the service you want to sign out of. Your options will be Syracuse NetID or Blackboard.

    The app will sign you out and send you back to the main page. You’ll also see a message stating you have been signed out of the service you selected.

    The OrangeNow app has a feature to reset the app. This option is for clearing issues within the app.

    • Open the OrangeNow app

    • Click on the avatar icon at the top right corner

    • Select Settings

    • Find and select the Reset this app button

    • You’ll get a pop-up to confirm, and click OK to reset

    This will restart the app and you will need to select a persona/experience.

    ITS will help solve technical issues and has a form to help guide you to submit your issue. OrangeNow Technical Issue Form
