Microsoft OneDrive

OneDrive at Syracuse University

OneDrive is the default storage location for personal files at SU.  Saving to OneDrive on an SU managed machine is as simple as saving to Documents or Desktop. OneDrive lets you store and protect your files, share them with others, and access them from anywhere on all your devices.

Additionally, it used to be known as "OneDrive for Business," so you may still see it called that in places throughout Answers.

Accessing OneDrive on the Web

Sign into office.syr.edu and click on the App Launcher menu button (

) at the top left of the page and choose OneDrive from the list of applications.

Sharing

SU requires that sharing invitations be sent to an email address and requires that the invitee that is not using a @syr.edu email address be able to receive an access code at their email address to access any shared files.

Storage

OneDrive storage quotas vary by license type assigned to the user.  Staff and Faculty can request more storage from their IT support.
