How to install a Rhino trial version (Windows)

The evaluation is full featured and lasts for 90 days.

    • Visit https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino-for-windows/evaluation.

    • Create a new account to proceed. You can use a personal email or your syr.edu email.

    • After your account is created and you validate it through email, go back to the download page.

    • You should now see a link to download the trial plus a trial license key.

    • Download the installation file. Also write down or copy the license key, which we will need later.

    • Start the installation by double clicking the file you downloaded.

    • Click Install Now.

    • Wait for it to install.

    • Start Rhino.

    • On the Welcome to Rhino screen, enter the email that you used to create an account. Check the box 'I have read and agree to...'.

    • Don't click Continue. Instead click Options.

    • Under Options click 'Enter License Key'.

    • Paste or type in the evaluation key that you received earlier. Then click Continue.

    • Wait for it to discover your license.

    • On the Ready to Assign window, click 'Lock to this computer' (since this is a trial). If you are instead installing a license you purchased, click 'Float license between computers'.

    • On the Validate Your Rhino 7 License window, click 'Skip Registration' unless you want to fill everything out.

    • On the Ready to Validate window, click Continue.

    • Wait for it to retrieve the validation code.

    • License is validated successfully.
