SAP2000 v27 student license

SAP2000 v27 for Windows is freely available to architecture students to install on a personal computer. The software is also available in the Architecture computer labs and Arch RemoteLab.

How to obtain the software

  • The installation file is located on the G drive in G:\ARCH-FILER\Student Resources\Software\SAP2000\.

  • An invite to the school license is required in order to use the software. Email us at archit@syr.edu to request the license.

Limitations

  • The software may only be used for educational course work and must be uninstalled upon graduation or withdrawal from the program; no commercial use is permitted.

How to install

  1. Copy the file SAP2000v2710Build3560Setup.exe from the G drive to your computer.

  2. Double click the file to start the installation.

  3. Choose 'Ultimate' if asked.

  4. After installation is complete, start the software.

  5. Before you can sign in and use the software, you will need two things:

    An invite to join the school license. Email us at archit@syr.edu to request a license. We will send you an invite. A free CSI account using your @syr.edu email address. This will be created after you accept the invite and set a password.

  6. After you have a license and a CSI account, login to use the software.
