Checking your Google Workspace account

If you have any issues or concerns related to phishing in your g.syr.edu account through Syracuse University Google Workspace for Educations services, know that you can always do a check on your account through Google.

• This URL will take you to Google's support page and give you additional information how you can identify, avoid, and report phishing emails that show up in your g.syr.edu account

Google is aware of large-scale attempts at phishing - and if you think you may have been affected, we recommend doing Google's Security Checkup:

• https://myaccount.google.com/secureaccount

• Please check that your Recovery phone number and Recovery email are correct

• Follow the additional steps, and verify that your account permissions are correct

We recommend going to myaccount.google.com after you log in using your g.syr.edu account and checking to see what accounts you have authorized. Disable anything suspicious. 

If you believe your account has been compromised - send an email to help@syr.edu with your name, back-up or recovery email, netID, and a description (screen-shots if you can).
