Sign in
To ensure full credit from instructors for poll participation, be sure to login with your regular email address of netid@syr.edu. Logging in with your Google address of netid@g.syr.edu may not allow you to join the poll or successfully record your responses.
Mobile App
The Syracuse University account uses our campus login process on the mobile app:
LAUNCH: Poll Everywhere APP
SELECT: Settings
SELECT: Launch log in window
SELECT: Continue
ENTER: SYR email address
SELECT: NEXT
SELECT: Log in with Syracuse University
Complete SSO authentication through Microsoft (if not already setup on your phone)
SELECT: Authorize
SELECT: Home
ENTER: instructors URL
SELECT: Join

Desktop

Allowing your location on mobile
Even if you are using the Poll Everywhere App, location services need to be enabled on your device’s web browser to share your location and check-in to presentations where you’re required to be in a particular location for polls.
For example, if you are using and iPhone and Safari is set as your default web browser, you need to:
Go to: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services
Locate the entry for Safari Websites
Set it to While Using the App and enable Precise Location
If correctly configured, the location settings for your browser should look as follows:
The next time you try to check-in you may be presented with an option to share your location — make sure you choose allow.
If you have a different browser set as your default and location still isn’t working, enable Safari Websites to use your location as above.
Change or update your screen name
Using a screen name enables participants to link their responses to a chosen alias. When logged in with SSO, responses are still associated with the user's account, regardless of whether the screen name differs from the registered one.
