Google Workspace

Syracuse University provides access to Google Workspace applications including Drive, Docs, Assignments, and Gemini AI, to current faculty and students. Online Learning Services provides support for Google tools for academic and research applications.

Google Workspace is supported on campus for faculty, instructional staff, and students, but not for non-academic units. For non-academic campus operations, Microsoft 365 is the recommended suite of tools provided to all users with a current SU NetID.

Accessing Your SU Google Account

To login to your university-sponsored Google account, go to google.com, click the “Sign In” in button in the upper right corner, and enter your credentials as follows:

User Email: [netid]@g.syr.edu
Password: same as your SU NetID password

Note that your SU Google login email address is NOT THE SAME as your regular SU Mail email. The domain is @g.syr.edu, not the standard @syr.edu.

For example, if your regular SU email is jqadams06@syr.edu, then the login email to access your SU Google account will be jqadams06@g.syr.edu, with a g. between the '@' and the ‘syr’

Your password to login to your SU Google account will be the same as your regular NetID password, and should update automatically whenever you change your NetID password
