Integrating PlayPosit into your Blackboard Course
Embedding PlayPosit bulbs in Blackboard lets instructors add interactive video content directly into their course which can help boost student engagement. It also integrates with the gradebook, making it easy to track participation and performance—all within the Blackboard environment.
Adding PlayPosit Content Link to Blackboard Course
Bulbs are interactive videos that contain interactions such as multiple choice, free response, or survey. To learn how to create a bulb, visit Building PlayPosit Bulbs. Instructors can add PlayPosit bulbs to the Blackboard Course Content page, by creating a link through the content market.
Select the plus sign
Select Content Market
Select the Plus sign in the bottom right corner on the PlayPosit tile from the content market.
A PlayPosit content link will be created on your course content page
Launch PlayPosit from course content page to link a bulb to your course
If you have multiple PlayPosit bulbs for your course, a new link needs to be created for each bulb.
This checklist can also help you start building and deploying PlayPosit Bulbs.
Please note that the PlayPosit link that was just created has not been linked to the Bulb. The link needs to be set to assign the bulb to your course as shown below.
Set Link - Assigning Bulb to PlayPosit Content Link
Select a bulb from your library to link the bulb to the PlayPosit content link in your Blackboard course. If you do not have any bulbs, refer to the Playposit page or check-out the Creator Challenge.
Launch the PlayPosit link on your Blackboard course content page
If link has not be created, follow the steps in the section above
Select Set Link
Select My Bulbs
Locate your Bulb
Click on Blackboard “BB” icon
to select bulb
Select Learner Experience: Self Paced or Live Broadcast
Select Link
Select Preview to review Bulb
Editing PlayPosit Content Link
The PlayPosit content link is the item that appears in Blackboard. Instructors can edit the following PlayPosit Link settings by clicking on the three dot icon on the right of the link:
Assignment Name
Assignment Description
Optionally Create as Gradebook Item and add grading settings
All grading adjustments must be made prior to learners starting the assignment
Activating a PlayPosit Bulb Copied Course From a Previous Blackboard Course
After copying Bulbs from previous courses, PlayPosit Bulbs must be activated in your Blackboard Course:
Launch the PlayPosit link on your Blackboard course content page to activate the bulb in the new course
It may be helpful for you to preview your bulbs before opening your course to students for the semester.
Monitoring Student and User Activity
Once a bulb is deployed, the interactions can be monitored by launching the PlayPosit link on your Blackboard course content page:
Select Monitor
Grade Interactions, Access Bulb Analytics, and/or View Individual Learner Attempts

There is no content linked to this assignment. The content link has not been setup by the instructor or it has been deleted. Please contact your instructor.
Instructors
Go to the course where the issue was reported and launch the PlayPosit link that was reported with the error
Check if you have Set the Link in your course
The PlayPosit Manage Link window will show the bulb name assigned to your course and you do not need to do anything further
If the PlayPosit Manage Link window shows Set Link, select Set Link
If you have not already - this may be a good time to double check your bulbs, they can be tested in student preview Student Preview | Enter Student Preview
