Accessing Coursera Course: "Whitman SOM100 AI Essentials"

 

Follow these steps to sign in with your Syracuse University account and enroll in the Coursera course.

Step 1: Register or Sign in to Coursera

  1. Navigate to Coursera | Degrees, Certificates, & Free Online Courses .

  2. Select Sign Up (or Log In if you already have an account).

  1. Register using your Syracuse University email address in this format:

YourNetID@syr.edu - Be sure to use the standard SU email (no “g.”).

  1. Enter your full name when prompted — this will appear on course records.

Step 2: Access the Coursera Course Invitation

  1. Check your Syracuse email (SUMail.syr.edu) for an invitation to join the course Whitman SOM100 AI Essentials.

    1. The email should come from: no-reply@t.mail.coursera.org

    2. The subject line will indicate an invitation from Coursera.

  2. Open the email and click the Join this course link provided.

Step 4: Access the Course "Whitman SOM100 AI Essentials"

  1. Once logged in to Coursera, you’ll see a message indicating to join the SOM100 AI Essentials program.

  1. Click “Go To Course” from the Google AI Essentials Specialization page.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Gemini login → NetID@g.syr.edu

  • Coursera login → NetID@syr.edu

  • Always use your Syracuse accounts to avoid losing access or missing course enrollment.

  • If you encounter issues:

    • Try clearing your browser cache or using an incognito/private window.

    • Make sure you are not signed in with a personal Gmail on Coursera.
