Installing the Bloomberg Excel Add-in

The Bloomberg Excel add-in is installed on a per-user basis, meaning it cannot be installed in bulk across multiple accounts. Fortunately, the installation process is straightforward and does not require administrator privileges.

Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

1. Open the Start Menu and View All Applications

  • Click the Windows Start Menu.

  • At the top right, select “All” to display all installed applications

2. Locate Bloomberg Tools and Start the Add-in Installer

  • Scroll through the application list to find the Bloomberg folder.

  • Expand it and click on “Install Office Add-ins”.

3. Install the Add-in and Confirm Success

  • In the installation window, click “Install”.

  • A confirmation message will indicate successful installation into your user profile.

4. Verify Add-in Availability in Excel

  • Close the Bloomberg installer window.

  • Launch Microsoft Excel.

  • Verify that a new “Bloomberg” tab is present in the Excel ribbon.
