Using Teams on personal devices or University-owned Macs

This is recommended for remote work from home to join Microsoft Teams meetings. Teams meetings require a local webcam and a mic on your home computer.

  1. Install Microsoft Teams on your home computer or mobile phone HERE.

  2. Open Microsoft Teams.

    • In Windows, click Start

       and click on Microsoft Teams.

    • On Mac, go to the Applications folder and double click Microsoft Teams.

    • On mobile, tap the Teams icon.


  3. Sign in with your SU email and password.

    • If you have not, please make sure to configure Microsoft Two-Factor Authentication prior to using the software on personal devices or University-owned Macs. Please contact archit@syr.edu if you need assistance.






  4. Once Microsoft Teams is opened, you will see a list of Teams you have access to.
