    Managing Browsers

    Mar 15, 2025

Below you will find support pages detailing how to manage various supported browsers on campus. Browsers have various bits and pieces of information that are constantly going in and out of them, and sometimes you will need to clean them up or look to change settings in them in order to make them work for your current task. Sometimes you may find yourself with a specific question that doesn't fit within the information provided below, if that is the case please refer to our contact information at the bottom of the page.

Please select the option below that you believe would be the most helpful for you.

    Cookies and Cache

Clearing your cookies and cache can fix a wide range of issues. If you would like to clear your browser's cache and cookies click on the appropriate link below:

    Google Chrome

    Safari

    Firefox

    Microsoft Edge

Some other pages you may find useful for browser management:

    Determining Browser Version

    Enabling Pop-ups

Internet Explorer Mode in Microsoft Edge

    Private or Incognito

Web browsers contain and save an assortment of information, especially in regards to your passwords and accounts. A private browsing window is a great way to troubleshoot a potential browser issue, or even sometimes get around them if you have issues logging into your email, MySlice, Blackboard, or other pages. Private browser windows do not use or save your information, so if you can't log in this is a quick way for you to get to the bottom of your problem!

Refer to the options below for your browser of choice:

    • Microsoft Edge Keyboard Ctrl-Shift-P (Windows) or Command-Shift-P (macOS)

    • Mozilla Firefox Keyboard Ctrl-Shift-N (Windows) or Command-Shift-N (macOS)

    • Google Chrome Keyboard Ctrl-Shift-N (Windows) or Command-Shift-N (macOS)

    • MacOS Safari Keyboard Command-Shift-N (macOS)
