Jira for Outlook

This is required for integrating Orange Tracker with Microsoft Outlook.

User Install

In Outlook:

  1. Select More Apps from the sidebar

  2. Select Add apps from the bottom of the dialogue

  3. Search for and select: Jira for Outlook

  4. Select Add

  5. A “Start using Jira for Outlook” dialogue should present, select Got it

Setup & Initialization

  1. Select any email for initialization

  2. Under Apps, select the Jira for Outlook app

  3. Select New Issue

  4. For first time setup, a dialogue will appear:

  5. Select Start now!

  6. For the Jira Url field, use: https://ot.atlassian.syr.edu

  7. Leave the “Remember Login on every device” enabled

  8. Select Continue

  9. Login prompt will display, select Login (in the “Login with Jira Cloud” notification box)

  11. A browser window will open requesting access - select Allow

  12. The following confirmation window should appear:

Jira for Outlook Settings

When creating a work item via Outlook, there will be a settings button in the top-right of the dialogue that allows for configuration or various options and defaults.
