Macros in Answers

Macros in Answers

Macros within Answers are dynamic blocks available in the editor that update with related content or changes the look and feel of sections a page. Such macros may include (but are not limited to) colored information blocks, table of contents based on the page headers, and page lists that contain a specific label. See the following vendor documentation for additional information on using macros: What are macros? | Confluence Cloud | Atlassian Support

Legacy Macros

Some macros that were available in the on-prem Answers are not available in Answers Cloud due to requiring custom code. However, Answers Cloud has re-engineered the embed functionality, allowing direct embeds of links for a multitude of sites by simply placing the link to the content on the page .

These macros include:

  • Frevvo macro

  • Kaltura macro → Embedding Videos in Answers

  • Button macro

  • New tab macro → Links now open in a new tab by default

  • HTML macro

  • ITS table of contents macro
