The MESP Course Development Grant

The Middle Eastern Studies Program (MESP) is pleased to invite applications from its affiliated faculty members at Syracuse University to support the development of graduate or undergraduate level courses or units within existing courses that would increase the coverage of the MENA region to a minimum of 33%.  MESP will award two course development grants at $2,000 per course.  Priority will be given to graduate courses and/or course proposals that fill current curricular needs.  New courses to be developed will be cross-listed with MES.  The courses or units should be developed within the year of the award being made and scheduled or fit within a course no later than the 2026-2027 academic year. To apply for this grant, please email a proposal to Ciara Hoyne (cchoyne@syr.edu) that includes the title of the proposed course or course to receive supplemental material, a course or unit description of 100-200 words, and a timeline. Applications must be received by April 1, 2025.
