Data Source Permissions in Atlassian Analytics

    • A data source is required when creating reports in Atlassian Analytics. In order to select a data source, access must be granted to use it for reports. Access is granted via one of two ways: Data Source Users and Data Source Admins.

    Permissions are not implied from other applications. A user must be directly assigned a role in order to use data in that data source to create reports. Additionally, users assigned to a data source role can access even if they do not have access in the source application (Orange Tracker, Answers).

    Data Source Users

    Users assigned to the Data Source Users role have the ability to select that data source in reports they create.

    Data Source Admins

    Users assigned to the Data Source Admins role have the ability to use that data source in their reports, as well as the ability to manage access/roles to the data source.
