All Atlassian application license requests are now done via MyAccess. See below for requesting access.

Requesting Licenses

Students will still request licenses via MyAccess, however an initial request is required by an authoritative source via our CDI Applications portal prior to being able to view the access package in MyAccess.

On January 19th, 2026, named student accounts will see the access groups in MyAccess by default and will no longer require the initial access request. Additional justification has been added, requiring the name or key of the spaces and/or projects to be included.

For accounts outside of the scope of students, staff, and faculty, (ex. Generic) the initial request process is still required.

Requests for Orange Tracker and Answers licenses are done through MyAccess.

  1. Navigate to My Access and login with your syr.edu account

  2. Select Access Packages from the sidebar

  3. Locate (search bar or scroll) either the Atlassian Jira Service Management (JSM) Agent License or Atlassian Confluence Collaborators License access package

  4. Select Request Access from the far-right of the record

  5. In the Justification field, enter the Orange Tracker project(s) or Answers space(s) you will be an require a license within - this is REQUIRED!

  6. Submit the access package request
