      Become a Peer Advisor

      Jun 18, 2025

Do you want to mentor first-year VPA students? Are you a student in good academic standing? The College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Peer Advising Program provides an opportunity for you to meet and assist new students in their transition to college. In the process, you will develop and sharpen your leadership skills.

Peer advisors are liaisons between the college and its students and serve as an important link between first-year students. They are resource people.

Advisors are assigned a group of incoming students to connect with over the summer and mentor throughout the coming academic year.

      Application Process

Applications are closed for 2025-25. We will reopen applications in Spring 2026.

For questions, please contact Vicki R. Smith in the Office of Academic and Career Advising.
