When to use Video
Leveraging video content can serve as a useful, supplemental, learning resource for users. Video should not replace written instructions, unless the transcript of the video is also present on the page. All videos linked to must be captioned, for additional information Syracuse University ITS provides additional video captioning resources.
Design Guidelines
Do not embed video into documents.
All video must be captioned.
Within documents insert a link to redirect the reader to externally hosted video.
Host videos on the Syracuse University Ensemble service.
