    Enable Breakout Room features

    Syracuse's implementation of Zoom does not enable all breakout room functionality by default. This must be adjusted in the Zoom settings for your own account, as follows:



    1. Sign into the SU Zoom web portal -- https://syracuseuniversity.zoom.us






    2. In the left-hand navigation menu, select 'Settings'.






    3. In the 'Settings' navigation menu, click on 'In Meeting (Advanced)'.


    4. Enable the 'Breakout room' option, as well as allowing the meeting hose to pre-assign rooms (if desired).
