The My Access Portal is where you go when you need permission to use a piece of software. Think of it as asking for a key to a new room — you request it, someone approves it, and you're in!

Getting to My Access
Open your favorite web browser.
Head over to myaccess.microsoft.com
Sign in with your SU NetID email and password.
You'll land on your Overview page — this shows anything that needs your attention.
Requesting Access to Something New
In My Access, click Access packages on the left.
Click the Available tab to see what you can request.
After locating the access package you'd like to request, choose it, verify that it is the correct selection.
Choose 'Continue', if applicable provide answers to any questions, explain why you need it (keep it simple) and choose 'Submit request'.
After receiving your approval confirmation email, if you've requested an app on a Windows computer, launch the Company Portal. You should now see your software and be able to install it.
Those Access Review Emails
Every now and then, you'll get an email asking you to review your access. Don't ignore these — they're quick and important!
Certain software apps on our school computers such as Zoom, OnBase, Claude and Adobe Creative Cloud need to be ‘renewed’ yearly. You may receive emails similar to this:
Sign into My Access.
Click Access reviews on the left.
Click on the pending review.
Ask yourself: "Do I still need this?" Then confirm or deny.
Adobe License Changes
Faculty and Staff
All active faculty and staff at the University have been provided access to Adobe Express, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Sign. Individuals with a business need for the Adobe Creative Cloud suite may request access via My Access. More info can be found here: https://its.syr.edu/adobetools/
Getting to My Access
Open your favorite web browser.
Head over to myaccess.microsoft.com
Sign in with your SU NetID email and password.
Look or search for “Adobe Creative Cloud”. It looks like this:
Click the Request button highlighted above
Choose ‘Continue’ and provide answers to any questions, explain why you need it (keep it simple)
Choose 'Submit request'.
After receiving your approval confirmation email, if you've requested an app on a Windows computer, launch the Company Portal. You should now see your software listed and be able to install it.
If you had previous access to Creative Cloud and it’s installed, please allow up to an hour before you can use the software again.
