Agency Partners

Students in both the BSSW and MSW program must complete internships in an approved human service agency. Internships are arranged by an Internship Placement Coordinator through the Office of Field Instruction. Students are provided with social work supervision and instruction by an agency-based Field Instructor. Our partnership with agencies covers a broad geographic area and provides diversity in agency settings allowing for many unique opportunities for students.

The School of Social Work provides a wide range of agency setting across most of the Central New York area. We utilize not-for-profit human service organizations, government organizations, school systems, correctional facilities, mental health clinics (agency, county and state run), and hospitals, to just name a few. Below is a sample of the kinds of sites we use to place students in.
