Phase I: Migration to Blackboard LMS (July 2025)

Phase I: Migration to Blackboard LMS (July 2025)

Starting for the July 2025 quarter-term, the Executive MPA online program will move from 2U’s Digital Campus (Canvas) Learning Management System (LMS), accessed through One Login, to the Blackboard Ultra Learning Management System LMS, accessed through MySlice, to host all of our courses.

We have scheduled the following training opportunities to help with your transition from Canvas to Blackboard, and will also record a training session to make this available to you on-demand:

  • Wednesday, June 18th from 6-7pm ET (rescheduled from June 11th)

  • Monday, June 23rd from 6-7pm ET

  • On demand training session (recorded 6/23/25)

Training sessions will be held in Nell’s Zoom room here.

The University also has extensive on-demand resources available now to help you familiarize yourself with this platform before your course access opens in June.

Finally, you can also schedule a meeting with Nell to discuss how these changes may present opportunities for your program.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. Q: Will I continue to have access to my past coursework in the Digital Campus?
A: Yes, current students will continue to be able to access their prior coursework in the Digital Campus through the end of this calendar year. We will send out a reminder to archive any materials you need after this year before your LMS access will be disabled in the Digital Campus on December 31, 2025.

  2. Q: When can I get access to my coursework in Blackboard?
A: Current students are able to login to Blackboard now, but the coursework will not become available until the first day of asynchronous access, which is Wednesday, June 25, 2025 for the Summer 2025 quarter-term. The first day of asynchronous coursework for the Fall 2025 quarter-term is Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Blackboard class access is driven by your class registration in MySlice.

  3. Q: How long will I be able to access the courses in Blackboard? Do I continue to have access to the material after the end of the term?
A: Faculty control access to the Blackboard class sites, but the default is that students do not retain access to the classes in Blackboard after the end of the term. If you need to maintain access to a Blackboard course after the end of the term (e.g. to complete outstanding work as part of an incomplete grade), please reach out to your instructor and they can consider this request.
