International Relations Undergraduate Research Assistantship Program
Students selected as research assistants will work one-on-one with faculty in the Maxwell School on projects to support their research agendas.
Research assistants commit to conducting three-five (3-5) hours of research a week for a minimum forty-five (45) hours total for the semester and will register for one (1) academic credit for the semester which appears on your university transcript as IRP 450 “Undergraduate Research Program.” Students selected for a URAP position will submit a final reflection paper on the URAP experience at the end of the semester.
Eligibility requirements are:
1) Senior standing (84 credits or more); students expected to graduate in the current academic year preferred
2) Declared major in International Relations;
3) Minimum 3.400 cumulative grade point average;
4) On main campus for current semester;
5) Completed academic coursework relevant to quantitative and/or qualitative social science
research methods, such as MAX 201 "Statistics for the Social Sciences” or SOC 318 “Introduction
to Research” is preferred.
