    Current and Pending Support

    Feb 14, 2023

The National Science Foundation requires applicants to include information on all current and pending support for projects and proposals. The National Institutes of Health’s SciENcv (Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae) is now designated as an NSF-approved format for submitting current and pending support information. Applicants should use SciENcv to prepare a Current and Pending Support attachment for inclusion in proposals to NSF.  For proposals submitted on or after October 23, 2023, all applicants must use SciENcv to complete their current and pending support documentation.

    SciENcv

SciENcv is a profile system used by applicants, recipients, and associates of federally funded research grants. Designed to help applicants minimize compliance issues, SciENcv creates biosketches by assembling information extracted from linked external profiles and manually entered by the applicant.

    • SciENcv will produce an NSF-compliant PDF for Current and Pending Support.

    • Applicants can link their SciENcv profiles to their NSF, NIH, ORCiD, eCommons, and Login.gov accounts.

    • Applicants must save these documents and submit them as part of their proposals via Research.gov.

    • Applicants can populate these forms or delegate a research assistant to complete them.

    NSF Fillable PDF

Alternatively, NSF has released a fillable PDF that applicants can use until October 23, 2023:

    • Proposers can download the form from NSF’s Current and Pending Support page, complete it, and upload it as part of their proposal via Research.gov.
