*How to Set Up Your SUmail on an Android.*

Instructions

  1. If this is the first e-mail account on your Android, open the application drawer and select Settings > Account & Sync on the bottom touch Add Account
  2. Tap Exchange ActiveSync  (NOTE; some phones may refer to this as "Corporate")
  3. Tap in the Email Address box and enter your full e-mail address (for example, Netid@syr.edu).
  4. Tap in the Password box and enter your password.
  5. Tap Next on the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
  6. In the Domain/Username enter your full Email Address making sure you remove the "\" eg;netid@syr.edu
  7. In the Password box leave what is there.
  8. For corporate sync press the menu button to manual set-up to change server settings. change server to m.outlook.com
  9. Tap in the Exchange Server box and enter m.outlook.com
  10. Leave "Use Secure Connection" checked
  11. Make sure "Accept All SSL Certificates" (SSL) is checked also.
  12. If the keyboard is present press "Done".
  13. Tap Next
  14. Choose how and what type of information you want to synchronize in the Account Options page.
  15. Tap Next
  16. Enter an account name like "SUmail" or "My E-mails".
  17. Enter an outgoing message display name.
  18. Tap "Done"..
