    Association of Child Life Professionals Endorsed Coursework

    Department of Human Development and Family Science
    Effective for students graduating between April 2018 and May 2025

    Certified Child Life Specialists are educated and clinically trained in the developmental impact of illness and injury. Students interested in pursuing a career as a Certified Child Life Specialist are independently responsible for establishing certification eligibility through the Association of Child Life Professionals.

    The Association of Child Life Professionals has endorsed the following coursework for undergraduate students in the Department of Human Development and Family Science:

    HFS 325: Children and Families in Medical Settings

    HFS 202: Development of Children AND
