    Requirements:

    • RDT (clock)

    • Power Supply

    • Barrel Key

    • Wireless-AC Dual Band Wi-Fi Adapter

    • Ethernet Remote Data Terminal (RDTg)

    • Existing 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n or 5 GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac AP/Gateway/Router

    Payroll will be responsible for coordinating any steps below.

    • Payroll orders RDTg (Remote Data Terminal) from TCP

      (ndd@listserv.syr.edu) will need to add the MAC address of any new or replacement unit to the exceptions table on the AirOrangeGuest gateway and register a static DHCP reservation in 10.6.x.x in InfoBlox.

    • Payroll schedules time with the Physical Plant to go onsite and have clock installed and power cable installed


    (If you purchase a clock with the Wi-Fi adapter, it will be preinstalled and you can skip to "Configure the Terminal" steps below.)





    Configuring the Terminal

    1. Provide power to the terminal and enter the Company Selection screen.

    2. On the Company Selection screen, press the Device button to enter the Device Settings.

    3. On the Server tab, enter in the URL: https://44530.tcplusondemand.com.

    4. Enter 44530 in the Namespace field.

    5. Enter the number of the clock next to Device Name (ex: 73).

    6. On the Network tab select "Use automatic network configuration (DHCP)".

    7. On the Wi-Fi tab, select AirOrangeGuest and enter the Passcode if necessary. Choose NONE for Security.

    8. On the Display tab select Enable screen saver and Show seconds when displaying time.

    9. Press Ok to save the changes and restart the terminal.

    Verify lights on clock are green and test by swiping and/or entering an employee's badge.
