RDP to AzureAD joined computer from personal (unmanaged) Windows device

This will work from a personal computer on the AirOrangeX wi-fi network

This guide assumes you have been approved for AzureVPN access and your IT admin has configured the target computer.

 

  1. Connect to AzureVPN

 

  1. Open the “Remote Desktop Connection” app or “mstsc.exe” and provide the computer name provided by your IT admin (usually “SU-<serial#>”).

  1. On the same window, click “Show Options” and then go to the “Advanced” tab. Under “User authentication” check the box to “Use a web account to sign in to the remote computer”.

  1. Complete the MFA login and you should now be logged into the target computer.
