ITS requires that faculty requests for new Google Shared Drives be submitted using the form link below.

New shared drives are given 20gb of space. This can subsequently be increased to 50gb and then to 100gb if needed by reaching out to us at archit@syr.edu (as we have to submit any quota increases).

When you submit the request, you will need to supply:

  • Name of the shared drive

  • Expiration date (up to two years out)

When it asks who should have access to the drive, there’s no need to list any additional users. You can add and remove members later from within the drive settings.
