Note: This procedure uses the Spanish Placement Exam as an example, but the steps in the procedure are the same for all language exams. Click here for the list of language placement exams available online.
- Navigate to the Placement Exams Section in MySlice:
- Select: Take Placement Exams
- The student will be directed to the BlackBoard Website where they will be required to enter their netid (example jsmoe) and password
- Click on Placement Exams
- Choose the Spanish Placement Exam:
NOTE: The Spanish Exam has an audio component. The student must have speakers available BEFORE entering the exam. - Click on and complete Language Placement Survey in order to access the Spanish Placement Exam.
- Click Begin to complete the survey
- Answer the two survey questions and click Save and Submit.
- Confirm submission.
- To continue with the exam Click Spanish Placement Exam in the Left Navigation Menu.
- Click on the Language Placement Exam in the Main Window
- Click Begin to start the test. READ and follow the instructions to take the test.
- When complete click Save and Submit. A warning will be displayed if there are any unanswered questions.
- Be sure to confirm submission when the following window pops up.
- After confirming submission the student will be able to Click OK to review exam results. The student must wait for the "Test Submitted" screen below to ensure the system has recorded their grade.
The OK button is in the lower right hand side of the screen. The student may need to use the scroll bar to view.
To review their Spanish Course Eligibility they must go to the MySlice Placement Exam Section and choose "View Placement Exam Results". - Please log out after reviewing your score.
