- Locate the file you want to embed and open it in the browser. Avenues to opening in the browser include OneDrive and SharePoint.
- Once the file has been open. Click on the File tab in the upper left-hand corner.
- Click on Share located on the left-hand menu.
- Click on Embed. A pop-up will emerge.
- The pop-up will contain a preview of the embedded document along with the embed code. You can change the dimensions of the embedded document by changing the dimension parameters on the right-hand side the pop-up as well as within the code where width and height are mentioned. Copy the code to embed it in another location.
Embedding on Answers
- Locate the Answers page you want to embed the Office 365 document(s) on.
- Click on Edit at the top of the page.
- Locate where on the Answers page you want to have the document(s) located and place your cursor there.
- Click on the plus sign on right-hand side of the edit ribbon on the top of the page. A drop-down menu will emerge.
- Select Other macros at the bottom of the menu. A pop-up will emerge.
- Search for HTML, select it, and press Insert.
- Insert the copied Office 365 document embed code into the HTML box.
- Press Save at the bottom of the page.
Embedding on Blackboard
- In any Blackboard editor, click the HTML button pictured below.
- Paste the embed code and select Update
- Tweak the width and height parameters in the embed code the size needs to be changed.
