SU is participating in the Microsoft Student Advantage program. Through the program, current SU students (undergraduate, graduate, and part-time) can download and install Office desktop applications on up to five computers (PC, Mac) and 5 mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android). Office applications installed through the Student Advantage program have up to a four year subscription (as long as a student remains eligible). After four years, the subscription will expire. Current students can renew the subscription one time. Students must connect any device with Office 365 ProPlus to the Internet at least once every 30 days for an automatic license check.
You can download Office 365 ProPlus using your SUmail student email account. Staff and faculty who are taking classes at SU are not eligible to participate at this time.

Where Can I Install Office 365 ProPlus?
You can install Office 365 ProPlus on up to five devices. You can manage the licenses you have installed for Office 365 ProPlus using your SUmail account. Office 365 ProPlus is available on the following operating systems:

How do I Manage my Office 365 ProPlus Licenses?
You can manage the licenses you have installed for Office 365 ProPlus using your SUmail account.
- Go to http://sumail.syr.edu and select "Log into SUmail"
- Login using your SUmail credentials
- Go to "settings" in the upper right-hand corner (the gear icon next to your name)
- Select "Office 365 settings"
- Select "Software"
- Select "Office"
A list of devices where you have installed Office 365 ProPlus will appear. Select "deactivate" next to the device to remove the license from that device and make it available for use on another device.
What if I am No Longer a Current Student?
The Microsoft Student Advantage Program is for current students of participating Universities. If you are no longer eligible for the program (you graduate or leave the university), there are consumer or commercial Office 365 plans available.
Note that eligibility for the Student Advantage Program may be verified at any time.
