The IST-S-STUDENTS system is now configured to utilize the university's Microsoft Active Directory service. This means the user experience will be a bit different but overall we think it's for the best. The "good":
- Student and instructor accounts are automatically generated based on course enrollment – instructors no longer need to manually create accounts
- Authentication now uses your NetID and password rather than a custom account
- Each student and instructor is now provisioned a web home directory on the G-drive – no more FTP
