  1. If you were already signed in with a Microsoft account, you may need to switch to the account that will be used for parent/proxy access. Double-check the email on this “Keep Your Account Secure” page, and change to the account to be used for parent/proxy access if necessary.

  1. On the next screen, you’ll be prompted to set up Microsoft Authenticator on a mobile device. This authenticator application can be used to help secure access to your account by requiring that you enter a code from your mobile device to complete a login to the account. Microsoft Authenticator can be installed from the Apple App Store or Google Play. A link to download the application is provided on the page. If you are prompted to allow notifications for the authenticator application, allow them. Using authenticator notifications makes the login process easier.

Microsoft Authenticator is the preferred method to use, but you do have the option to have a code sent to your mobile device via text instead. If you prefer to use text messages, select the “I want to set up a different method” link on this page.

Although Microsoft Authenticator is the preferred authentication application, you also have the option to use a different authenticator app. If you already have a preferred authenticator app, you can set it up by using the “I want to use a different authenticator app” link on the screen. Note that if you have trouble logging into MySlice with that authenticator application, you may need to switch to Microsoft Authenticator, which has been tested and verified to work with MySlice.
