Due to a recent change within the Microsoft cloud environment, MacOS devices require a policy update. The update will be released on Thursday, October 17 at 8:30AM. When your device performs a policy check-in (within ~15 minutes) you will be asked to complete the following steps. The policy may be deferred until a later time if this is not convenient.
When you are prompted with a Syracuse University Microsoft window, please login using your full netid@syr.edu email and password and click “Sign in”. Your email may already be pre-populated. The window will look like this:
After signing in, you may be presented with another window that prompts you to “get the app”. The window will look like this. You do not need to take action on this window.
To close the window, look for this icon in your Dock: Right-click or control + click on the icon and choose “Quit” and the window will close.
Next, please navigate to your browser of choice and go to MySlice or Blackboard and sign-in.
In Chrome or Firefox, you should be prompted for Multi-Factor Authentication and to accept a certificate. Please click OK to accept.
If you use Safari or Edge, you will not be prompted for Multi-Factor Authentication or to accept a certificate.
If you login to either of these Sites successfully, the migration has been completed. If you are not logged in successfully, please contact Technology Services (ischoolit@ot.syr.edu).
