Create a New Turning Account

If you have not ResponseWare in previous semesters, you do not have a Turning Account.

1. Go to blackboard.syr.edu and login with your NetID and password.
2. Click on your course.
3. Go to Tools.
4. Click on Turning Account Registration.
   
5. Enter your Syracuse University email and click Create.
   
6. A confirmation will be sent to your email. Once you receive this, click on the link in the email to complete account setup.
7. At the next screen:
   1. Enter your name and email address
   2. Leave User ID Blank
   3. Under Role, select Participant
   4. Create a password for your Turning Account, which must include:
      1. 8 characters
      2. 1 lower and 1 upper case letter
      3. 1 number
   5. Click Create Account.
8. Make sure the Learning Management System box shows a green checkmark, as shown below:
    

Connect an Existing Turning Account to Blackboard

If you've used ResponseWare in the past, you already have a Turning Account. In order to associate your Turning Account with your Blackboard account, you will need to do the follow:

1. Go to blackboard.syr.edu and click on your class.
2. Go to Tools.
3. Click on Turning Account Registration.
    
4. Enter your Syracuse University email and click Sign In.
5. Enter your password.
6. Make sure the Learning Management System box shows a green checkmark, as shown below:

Check with your instructor to see if you are using clickers or ResponseWare in your class.
