The Global Political Economy (GPE) minor focuses on all aspects of globalization and international economics in the contemporary world. As an interdisciplinary program in the social sciences, the GPE minor is designed to help students explore the dimensions and implications of globalization in contemporary international relations.
The minor is administered by the International Relations Program and is open to all Syracuse University students in good academic standing, with the exception of International Relations majors whose topic concentration is International Political Economy, which may not be combined with the GPE minor.
For a complete list of minor requirements, please visit the online Course Catalog.
For students who declared the minor prior to the Fall 2015 semester, please review prior program requirements in the archived online Course Catalog or speak with an academic advisor.
To declare a minor in Global Political Economy, fill out the GPE Consent Form and schedule an appointment with Dr. Northrup.
