Teams can request a new project within the Orange Tracker (OT) system. Here is a template to gather information to create an Orange Tracker project using standard schemes, suitable for tracking service and/or support issues. This is the minimum information needed in order to build a project.

Requirements

• Project Name
  • Must be no longer than 80 characters in length
• Project Key
  • Must be 3 - 10 characters in length
• Project Email
  • Every project requires an email address to be associated with it.

  • Requesters who are not a DSP are encouraged to involve their distributed support. The DSP can request the generic OT Routing account for the project. For more information on vanity accounts: https://answers.syr.edu/x/6JE7

  • If you have an existing email account from Exchange that you would like to use, you must place a forward to OT: /wiki/spaces/ITHELP/pages/159940689

• Is project email an OT Routing account or Exchange
  • Inform us what type of email you want to use for the project
• Business Process:
  • A quick description of the project
• Organizational Unit:
  • Academic Affairs, Engineering, Falk, iSchool, Maxwell, VPA, etc...
• Roles (please list name and netid)
  • Project Lead
  • Agents
  • Project Administrators
  • Users
