Note: systeminfo.exe is only available on WinXP Pro and higher.

Start > run > hcp://system/sysinfo/sysinfomain.htm \-> View the status of my system hardware and software

Under "System Software" the operating system should be listed with the install date under "Date Created"

Open Macintosh hard drive on desktop, find {color:blue}Application{color} folder and open it.

Step 2:
Scroll Down and open {color:blue}Utilities{color} folder.

Step 3:
Open the {color:blue}console{color} window in the {color:blue}Utilities{color} folder.

Step 4: In the {color:blue}console{color}, expand the directories as shown below, find and click on {color:blue}OSInstall.custom{color}, you will find the OS install date as shown below.

or you can type {color:blue}vi /var/log/OSInstall.custom{color} on the {color:blue}Terminal{color} window.
