Ready to set up your SUMail on your Mac? We can help with that!

The following instructions are reflective of users of macOS Mojave (version 10.14). Have an older version? Check out our instructions for macOS 10.11 - 10.13.

Preparing Exchange for SUMail

If you received an email indicating you need to configure your Exchange account in preparation for migration to SUMail, we recommend simply removing your account from the device and reconfiguring the account using the steps below. Configuring your email account with your full email address will properly prepare you for your account's migration. On macOS specifically, you may be required to perform this task AFTER your account is migrated. More migration details are available on the Exchange Email Migration to SUMail page.



Getting to Mail Setup

  1. Go to the Mail.app

  2. In Mail, choose Mail > Add Account

  3. Select Exchange Account

  4. Enter your account information

    enter your netid and password

  5.  Choose Sign In

    choose the sign in option

  6.  Add your SUMail (NetID) password

  7.  If you are prompted for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA or MFA), follow the on screen prompts to receive verification.

    approve the sign in request with the default methodapprove MFA 2FA with an alternate method

  8.  Once you're logged in, you can select what you would like to sync and then press Done.

    click done

    Congratulations! Your SUMail is all set up!
