Connect Your Turning Account with Blackboard

If you do not already have a Turning Account:

If you have not used ResponseWare in previous semesters, you do not have a Turning Account.

1. Go to blackboard.syr.edu and login with your NetID and password.
2. Click on your course.
3. Go to Tools and click on Turning Account Registration.
   
4. Enter your Syracuse University email and click Create.
   
5. A confirmation will be sent to your email. Once you receive this, click on the link in the email to complete account setup.
6. At the next screen:
   1. Enter your name and email address
   2. Leave User ID Blank
   3. Under Role, select Participant
   4. Create a password for your Turning Account
   5. Click Create Account.
7. Make sure the Learning Management System box shows a green checkmark, as shown below:
    

If you already have a Turning Account:

If you've used ResponseWare in the past, you already have a Turning Account. In order to associate your Turning Account with your Blackboard account, you will need to do the follow:

1. Go to blackboard.syr.edu and click on your class.
2. Go to Tools and click on Turning Account Registration.
    
3. Enter your Syracuse University email and your Turning Account password and click Sign In.
4. Make sure the Learning Management System box shows a green checkmark, as shown below:
    

Clicker Bundle and License Options - What should you buy?

All students need to have a license to respond in their classes. You can make your purchase at the SU Bookstore, or from the Turning Technologies Student Store after creating your Turning Account.

Get a BUNDLE if your instructor requires a clicker and you do not already own one

A bundle includes a clicker, an account license, and the ability to respond with any web-enabled device via ResponseWare.

Get just the LICENSE if you already have a physical clicker or if your instructor has indicated that you will be using ResponseWare

Register Your Device

Register Your Physical Clicker

1. Login to Blackboard and access your course
2. Click on Tools and select Turning Account Registration
3. Enter your Syracuse University email and your Turning Account password and click Login
4. Click on Device
5. Click Add a Device
6. Enter your Clicker ID and click Register
7. You should see your device appear

Redeem a License

If you purchased your license online in the Turning Technologies Student Store, no further action is needed.

If you purchased your license at the SU Bookstore, you must do the following:

1. Login to Blackboard and access your course
2. Click on Tools and select Turning Account Registration
3. Enter your Syracuse University email and your Turning Account password and click Login
4. Click on the License box
5. Click on Add a License
6. Enter your License Code, found on the license card purchased from the SU Bookstore
7. Click Redeem
8. Your License box in the Dashboard should now have a green checkmark
