Ultra Course Conversion Sprint
Overview
Join Online Learning Services (OLS) for an Ultra Course Conversion Sprint — a three-hour hosted event designed to support instructors as they work on creating Ultra Course View Content by converting existing original content and creating new content directly in ultra.
Participants will join a large Zoom meeting with OLS staff and other instructors working on ultra content. The goal is to create collaborative and supportive opportunity for instructors to create or convert content during the event.
Instructors that register for a sprint event will also be enrolled in the Ultra Orientation course for access to videos and documentation on the basics of ultra courses. The orientation course provides an introduction and to ultra courses. Ideally instructors will view the orientation materials before attending a sprint event, but the best way to learn ultra is to try it!
Structure
At the top of each hour, OLS staff will give a short overview of the basic steps to create ultra content. Throughout the hour, instructors will work on their courses with OLS will address questions as they arise. The event is a session for actively working on ultra content, with the majority of each hour dedicated to instructor work with live, public Q&A with OLS staff.
Instructors are encouraged to attend as much of the event as possible and work on their courses in solidarity with other instructors converting ultra content, but may come and go as needed. Instructors are invited to attend more than one event to work on their course.
