All users are required to complete the  Introduction to CITRUS  session prior to gaining access to the production system.  Successful completion of subsequent training sessions will grant additional access to areas of the CITRUS.  Most users will need to complete multiple sessions prior to the Go-Live date.  Refer to the Course Information table below and check with your supervisor to plan all of your sessions!

The list of currently scheduled training sessions is available here with additional session being added.  

To register for any available session

  1. Login to the Registration Page with your SU credentials.  This registers you for CRM Training in general.
    You still need to select the sessions you will be attending.
  2. Click the course name to select the course(s) you wish to attend
  3. Select the date and time of the session you would like to attend

After registering you will receive an email confirming your registration.  This email will have a link in it to add the registration to your calendar.

*all learners are required to complete an Introduction to CRM session before going on to any other sessions.

Introduction to CRM

This session will familiarize students with the new Blackbaud CRM environment and is required for all CRM users.  This course emphasizes finding and reading information (including contact and financial information) on constituent records.

All users

Successful completion of this course is required for anyone that needs access to the environment.

Prospect Management 1

This course is users responsible for any aspects of Prospect Management at Syracuse University (such as gift officers, prospect management team, and Directors of Development).

Participants will learn to locate prospects and work with Prospect Plans/Opportunities.

DO’s / Frontline Fundraisers

This class (along with Part 2) is for anyone working directly with prospects / plans.

Intro class required prior

Prospect Management 2

This course is for those responsible for any aspects of Prospect Management and is ideal for gift officers, prospect managers and development directors.

This session will focus on managing your planned tasks, research requests and one-off constituent documentation.

DO’s / Frontline Fundraisers

This class (along with Part 1) is for anyone working directly with prospects / plans.

Introduction to CRM and Prospect Management 1 required prior

Queries

This course is designed for those responsible for extracting information from Blackbaud CRM for analysis outside the system or to facilitate segment creation in system. Participants will learn to build ad-hoc queries, Smart Queries and manage exports.

Research / Anyone who pulls Data

This class is a must for anyone that needs to build queries in the new CRM

Reporting ToolsThis 2-hour session provides an overview of how to access and properly view a handful of key reports and data sets available in CITRUS. Additionally, attendees will learn how to pull these data sets for use outside of CITRUS and how to easily access the tools in the future.

Events

The Events functionality in CITRUS allows us to manage the events hosted at SU. In this course, participants will learn how to manage events from planning to registrations to end-of-event wrap-up activities.

Event Coordinators

Learn to build and manage events in the CRM and how the CRM works in conjunction with iMods.
