Pond5 - Marketplace Growth Intern

Role Overview
Are you looking to develop and hone your analytical skills in a business environment where your learnings will be used to inform real-life business decisions? If so, we want you! The right person for this role will be excited to learn how to visualize, analyze, and interpret large scale datasets, in addition to learning how to gather information from the larger marketplace to guide these analyses into a usable form. Success in this role means that you will be able to find problems worth solving, use data to backup your claims and assumptions, and eventually present hypotheses  backed by evidence to put your piece into strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reporting to provide continual guidance into marketplace trends
  • Analyze historical data in Pond5’s marketplace to inform future strategic direction
  • Assist in creation of experiments relating to: pricing optimizations, A/B testing, etc.
  • Identify weaknesses in current established methods of data analysis to provide future benefit in operational decision making

Qualifications

  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Finance or other similar field
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts (significance tests, hypothesis testing, etc.)
  • Ability to use metrics and hard data to backup assumptions and claims
  • Previous experience working in any professional environment preferred
  • Experience in SQL/Python or other languages related to data analysis a major plus
  • An interest in e-Commerce marketplace platforms
  • Ability to work with focus in an independent environment
  • Curious and passionate about learning
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Internship Summary:

The StriVectin Summer Internship Program is designed to give students a full corporate experience working within the competitive beauty industry.   We are offering internship positions supporting our Marketing, Finance, Digital, Creative and Product Development teams.  Summer interns will work in our midtown office under the direction of their assigned Summer Mentor/Supervisor, completing real time projects and making contributions to the broader functional teams for the duration of the summer months.

Product Development Internship Project Focus:

  • Gain exposure to competitive texture benchmarking and analysis
  • Supervise one new development to include identifying benchmark, product claims, working with labs on formula submissions, etc
  • Participate in evaluations and organize panel testing
  • Gain product aesthetic evaluation experience by assisting with production batch approvals

Qualifications:

  • Good product evaluation skills
  • Strong interest / passion for beauty products / beauty industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy and strong organizational skills
  • Collaborative team player qualities
  • Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Proficient in MS Office basics

Overview

Marathon Energy is currently seeking highly motivated students for summer internships. Paid internships will last approximately ten weeks between June and August 2019.

Interns will work on projects designed to help them gain real-world, hands-on experience working independently under an assigned supervisor. Responsibilities

DELIVERY – The TAM must be proficient in understanding the entire support services portfolio and can articulate the value of these services to our customers. The TAM will partner with our customers to ascertain their IT priorities in order to set a long-term strategy for service delivery that aligns to their business objectives. The TAM must be literate and conversant on the Microsoft technology, method and procedures for its application. The TAM is responsible for excellent delivery of services across entire support lifecycle, including Service Delivery Planning, Service Delivery Management, Incident Management / Escalations and Proactive Remediation Services.


LEADERSHIP – This role requires strong communications skills and imaginative, bold thinking in all situations. The TAM must be able to lead teams comprised of Microsoft, Partner and customer resources engaged in the delivery of complex solutions that result in a One Microsoft approach. The TAM must display Executive presence and confidence to manage executive relationships internally and with the customer to create business transformation.

Qualifications: 
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Enterprise support environment with a strong understanding of corporate account support needs and the support industry 
• Fundamental knowledge in two or more of the following: network and desktop operating systems, information worker applications, database systems, messaging, management and operations, and/or network security. Products may include, but are not limited to: Windows Server, Active Directory, Windows Azure, SharePoint Server, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Hyper-V, and System Center.
• Consistently practices strong organizational, communication, project management, negotiation, and problem solving skills. 
• Contributes to team operational precision by active design of and participation in community initiatives
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
