A Microsoft account is required for all users with non-SU email addresses in order to join a School of Architecture Microsoft Teams. Invitations to a specific Microsoft Team will come in via email.

This is required for sharing a file with someone outside your team via Microsoft Teams that does not have an SU email account (more info here)

How to join an Architecture Microsoft Team:


  1. Navigate to the email in which you received the invitation to join the Team and open the invitation.



  2. Click on Open Microsoft Team.

  3. This will open a new tab in your browser with the following pop-up. Click on Accept.



  4. Once you press Accept you will be prompted with the the screen below. Click on Use the web app instead to open the Teams channel in your browser.

    1. If you want to download the standalone desktop app for you personal device, visit this site to download Teams.
