Creating Accessible Forms

This session will cover the basics of how to design forms for maximum accessibility. Topics include: What makes a form accessible, how to test keyboard navigation, accessible Word and PDF forms, tips for various web form types including: Frevvo, HTML, Qualtrics, WordPress.

Note: This is not a class on how to create forms, but how to make your forms accessible. It is expected that participants already know how to use the applicable forms creation tools.

Screen Reader Essential Training for Web Accessibility Testers

The WCAG 2.x A and AA Manual Evaluation form used by Syracuse University staff for testing web sites and web applications includes a number of checkpoints that are best tested using a screen reader. These lessons cover the relevant checkpoints as well as a recommended testing technique with the corresponding JAWS/NVDA/VoiceOver keystrokes.
