Cannot Find Your Courses?

If you are a student and you cannot find your courses, it is important to note that courses are only visible to students in Blackboard after they have been made available by the instructor.  Check with your instructor first to ask if/when the course is available in Blackboard; typically instructors do not make courses available to students until 1-2 weeks before the semester begins.

If you are an instructor having trouble finding a particular Blackboard course,

  1. Make sure you are looking under the correct term.

  2. Check "Hidden from me" under the Filters menu at the top of your course list (on the right of Terms menu, see image above) to see if the course has been hidden from your list view.

  3. If you still cannot find the course you want, contact the ITS Service Center at 315-443-2677 or by emailing help@syr.edu. Be sure to include your NetID and the course code/semester you are looking for.

Students should be aware that by signing the release form their name and email address may be shared with other students and guests within the course.
