titleHandshake at SU
Handshake was implemented at SU in 2018. All information requests needed for data prior to 2018 should be made to handshake@syr.edu.

Alumni Access to Career Systems

All Alumni who maintain access to SU systems by updating their password once a year, maintain the same level of access to all career systems except for VMock. VMock transitions all alumni into an optional paid service if they want to continue using VMock upon graduation. Alumni are allowed one free resume scoring post-graduation.

Tracking Alumni/Employer Engagement in Handshake

Contacts in Handshake allows you to track and manage your external relationships without needing to entice users to create a Handshake Account. Contacts "can be thought of as a virtual address book." Contacts can also be used to take Notes (and tag other Advisors regarding the Notes) and filter by any specific labels you may need relevant to your department. For more information on Alumni in Handshake visit the Handshake for Career Services Answers Page regarding Alumni.
